ANNOUNCEMENTS

~Veterans Request:  Names of Church Family Veterans requested.  Please give  name and branch of service to Katie Waters for a Children’s Ministry Project.

~October 22, 2023 – No regular evening services – please make plans to participate in the Fall Festival at 6:00 pm.  Invite family and friends!

~October 22, 2023 – Old Hopewell Cemetery Revitalized Dedication, 1:00 pm.  Church Van will be available for transportation, please see Joe Coker.

~October 22, 2023 – Fall Festival, 6:00 – 8:30 pm.  Sweets needed for Cake Walk.  For questions, please see a member of the Social Team.

~October 29, 2023 – Breakfast Bar Open! – 9:30 am, walk through & room area.

~October 29, 2023 – Lord’s Supper (during Morning Worship)

~October 29, 2023 – Trunk or Treat, 6 – 8:00 pm.  Sign-up sheet in left side room.

~October 29, 2023 – Deadline for Committees/Teams to turn in 2024 Budget Request.  Turn request into a member of the Finance Team.

~November 4, 2023 – Dot Ayers WMU Meeting, 10:00 am – 12, FLC.  Mission Project:  Haven of Rest Thanksgiving Food Donation.  See list on front table and Educational Building hallway bulletin board.

~November 5, 2023 – Heart for Anderson, 4 pm, Downtown Anderson.  Meeting at the church at 3 pm.  Volunteers for this event would be greatly appreciated.

~November 12, 2023 – Souper Sunday, 12:00 (after morning service).  Kitchen Update Fundraiser.  Varies soups, breads, crackers & bake goods for sale.  Soups can be purchased in different sizes for individual & family.  Soups will be served by bowls if you wish to enjoy your lunch in the FLC or to-go containers, for take home.  Donations of soups, breads, crackers & bake goods for this event would be greatly appreciated.  Please see the sign-up sheet in the left side room.  For questions, see the FLC Kitchen Update Team.

~November 18, 2023 – Dot Ayers WMU Feeds HOPE Mission, 7am-10am.  To help with event, see Kim Saylors.

~November 19, 2023 – Thanksgiving Meal, 12:00 - No Evening Services

~November 19, 2023 – Decorating Team will meet at 2:30 pm to decorate the sanctuary for Christmas.  Any volunteers that are available to join the team to help would be greatly appreciated.

~December 2, 2023 – Dot Ayers WMU Meeting, 10:00 am – 12, FLC

~December 10, 2023 – Children’s Christmas Presentation, 6:00 pm.  For questions and/or to volunteer to participate or help, please see Deborah Fowler.

~Collection of Candy for Trunk-or-Treat – Oct. 29.  Collection box-left side room.

~Collection of items for Heart for Anderson, Nov. 5 - Downtown Anderson.  Items: coats, jackets, sweaters, hoodies, jogging pants & long sleeves shirts & tops-(all sizes new & used/male & female/child & adult), blankets, throws, socks, hats,  underwear (new-all genders & sizes), umbrellas, shoes & hygiene products.  Collection box in left side room.
