~Tonight we will be doing something new by transforming our Sunday Night study into a prayer meeting. I am so excited about this because I truly believe God hears & answers those who pray, in one way or another. Mark 11:17 says, "And he was teaching them & saying to them, 'Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? But you have made it a den of robbers." Thus, everything we do, as a church ought to be bathed in prayer. The other exciting aspect of this prayer meeting is that two of our young ladies from AU will be helping to organize & guide us during this time. Don't worry about praying out loud in front of a large group. I know that pressure makes many nervous to attend & I want to assure you that won't be what takes place. Rather, commit to come a pray with us!

Heart for Anderson was a success! Several individuals in need were served bag lunches, hot soup and chili with cornbread and were able to pick up warm clothing, blankets, etc., (ex. A couple that had just lost their home to fire). VBS Week was GREAT! We had the privilege of proclaiming Jesus to 58 kids during the week and played a role in 3 salvations! Praise the Lord!
The offering for the week for the Gideons was $545.65. Way to Go Kids!
We hosted over 125 people on Friday’s Family Night. It was a wonderful turn out of parents, grandparents, guardians and other family members coming to watch their kids show what they had learned all week, preform the songs and receive their certificates. Then we gathered in the FLC for a hotdog supper and fellowship.
A special thank you to over 30 Volunteers (Adults & Youth), that helped make the week possible. Also, thank you to those who helped make the end of the night extra fun and entertaining; David Clardy for the exciting Fireworks Show & to the Hopewell Fire Department for bringing out the Fire Truck and the Volunteers, allowing the kids to check out the truck, spray the hose and get sprayed.
